pERSONAL BENEFITS
As a Green Belt, you know what makes an improvement stick. Regardless of the department or challenge you face, you know what to do. As a Green Belt, you are also able to lead project groups or join initiatives with other Lean Six Sigma practitioners, for example during organization-wide projects. As your work often affects employees throughout the department, change management is also a skill you will become familiar with during the training. This wide range of knowledge and competencies is what makes our Green Belt certificate, as well as its owners, highly valued.
organizational BENEFITS
To help you achieve incredible results for an organization as soon as possible, carrying out a full Lean Six Sigma project is part of your training. This way, you learn to apply your theoretical knowledge in real life situations. During the training, students learn how to select projects with the highest financial return and lowest effort involved, so that every new initiative adds maximum value. Then, once your project starts, you receive personal coaching from one of our (Master) Black Belt coaches with experience in your field. They will assist you during your first project and help you take the first steps towards becoming a Lean Six Sigma practitioner.
Training variants
Attend one of our classroom training and brainstorm freely with your trainer and fellow students. Discuss potential solutions, apply tools and learn from each other’s previous experiences. Our classroom sessions are the best way to connect and network with fellow students , and are the ideal choice for those who enjoy hands-on learning.
Attend our training from anywhere in the world with our virtual classroom option. Online interaction is key, and we have designed our programme to involve students in a fun way. For example through a live Value Stream Mapping session where you dive into a process and rebuild it from the ground up. Or a team exercise which shows why ‘Standard Work’ actually works. Hands-on experience from the comfort of your couch; highly convenient, but just as educational.
Our Blended learning option allows you to decide on the fly whether you would prefer to attend class, or would rather pick the location yourself. Perfect for those with a busy yet unpredictable schedule. And with our MyTraining™ platform at your side, you’re always well-prepared, no matter your choice.
Speed is key during our Summer Course. This high-intensity option consists of 6 or 8 consecutive days of training – depending on your choice – followed by an exam to certify you in the shortest amount of time as is possible. It includes all the same content as the others options, as well as access to our MyTraining™ platform.
Curriculum
The ability to permanently solve problems is one of the most highly valued skills in any organization. This is exactly what our Green Belt training will make you proficient at. During our training, you will be taught how to uncover the root cause behind a problem, and ensure improvement initiatives are always on target. This is one of the reasons why Lean Six Sigma practitioners are wanted; they solve issues through substantiated research and prevent fire-fighting; they create solutions that stick.
As a Green Belt, you must involve different layers of an organization. After all, improvements are still a change, and change must never be a surprise; this creates resistance. Instead, by knowing how to involve key parties and applying change management techniques, you create support for these changes. Turning reluctance into enthusiasm is an important aspect to any Lean Six Sigma project.
Green Belts are expected to possess a broad range of knowledge and tools. Therefore, choosing the right training is vitally important. A training must ensure that practical experience is part of the programme, in order to help students bridge the gap between ‘knowing’ and ‘doing’. This is why our complete Green Belt programme includes a project and takes 3 to 4 months. Because only through repeatedly applying knowledge over several months can students become truly skilled. In the next section, we highlight what specifics the training will offer.
This intensive setup has one goal: to make you into a skilled Lean Six Sigma expert. With each phase, your knowledge and grasp of the tools will grow, until eventually, you understand how to achieve your goals as a fully-fledged Green Belt.
Getting certified
Successfully completing one of our trainings is awarded with an internationally recognized certificate. But what exactly determines the worth of a certificate? We explain why a certificate from The Lean Six Sigma Company is of a higher standard than others on the value of your certificate page
FiNancial details
Students of The Lean Six Sigma Company have two options: they can choose from a training which includes a project and all the necessary coaching from an experienced project coach, or enroll in the training without carrying out a project.
Results and cold, hard facts are often the best way to justify a purchase. Our courses are no different, and deliver said results without fail. After having trained thousands of students in the Lean Six Sigma methodology, our findings are as follows: Green Belt projects save €75.000 on average, often from the very first project. And with each project taking approximately 3-6 months, it is even possible to carry out multiple projects a year.
If it’s a training for an entire team you’re looking for, then our In-Company pages will be of interest. Our trainers will also host every training we offer to individuals in your organization. There’s no easier way to get started with Lean or Lean Six Sigma as a team than with our In-Company training.

FAQ
Every training we provide assumes our students start the training without any understanding of the Lean Six Sigma methodology. It starts with the fundamentals and explains every topic that is mentioned without assuming prior experience. During the training, you will carry out simulations and exercises to help you develop your knowledge. If you choose to carry out a project as part of your training, you will be coached and assisted by one of the (Master) Black Belts of The Lean Six Sigma Company to help you get started.
This depends on your goals and what you intend to achieve. If you would prefer to employ Lean Six Sigma on a part-time basis, for example alongside other work, the Green Belt training would be the best choice. If it’s your aim to work with Continuous Improvement and Lean Six Sigma on a full-time basis, then the Black Belt training would be the right pick.
Lean Six Sigma is a methodology that one can start using during any career phase and this training is the ideal starting point. Even as a beginner, your work can add tremendous value. Lean Six Sigma can serve as an addition to your current work, replacing a part of your existing responsibilities. Or it can become a new full-time career, depending on the training you choose.
The main difference is the scope of your projects. Green Belt projects are usually aimed at solving issues that affect a single department stakeholders. Black Belt projects tend to tackle long-standing, complex issues that cross departmental lines and affect different stakeholders. The responsibilities of a Green Belt align with those of a project manager. Black Belts carry more responsibilities and take a more active, leading role where they direct other Green Belts during projects.
The Services training is most fitting for those employed in transactional careers such as general administration, logistics, finance, etc. The ‘Manufacturing’ training is most fitting for those involved with mass production, machinery, factories and automation). Of course, those who complete the Manufacturing training can still carry out projects in the aforementioned transactional fields.
The Green Belt training has very little statistics content, as opposed to our Black Belt course. Yet even the Black Belt courses have designed to start at the very basics, on the assumption that our students aren’t familiar with anything related to statistics. We realize the idea of working with statistics can sound somewhat intimidating, but our trainers have helped thousands of students understand (and find their interest in) statistics. Additionally, we offer complementary courses and several videos on our MyTraining™ platform that will help you prepare for, or repeat, specific exercises.
The Lean Six Sigma Company strives to organize its courses training during normal working hours.
This is a conscious choice in order to avoid interfering with the private lives of our students and to get students used to the idea of working with Lean Six Sigma during typical working hours, and continue this habit once they complete the training.
